Crossing Guard Hiring Event

Jake’s House Charity, Employment Training Program has partnered with Ottawa Safety Council to offer a recruitment event for neurodiverse individuals. This event provides candidates the unique opportunity to engage with the OSC hiring team, with the aim of becoming part of their dedicated crossing guard team. The event takes place on July 17th from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the OSC head office, 301 Moodie St, Suite 103, Ottawa ON. During the event, candidates will hear a presentation from the OSC hiring team about the role, engage in a 15-minute Q&A period, and partake in a mini 1-1 interview with a member of the OSC hiring team. A team of Jake’s House staff and volunteers will be available to guide candidates through the event and assist with any needs or accommodations candidates might need.

The only requirements for this event are that candidates must be over the age of 16 and complete our candidate registration form.
