Meaningful Impact
Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our society faces, Ability First Ottawa is dedicated to assisting persons with disabilities, and their families, reach their social, educational and employment goals, by offering resource infrastructure and skills development in coordination with our supporting community.
COVID-19
We distributed Health Kits to vulnerable populations in Ottawa during the pandemic, which had a significant impact.
By providing essential items such as masks, hand sanitizer, and food, we supported those in need during a challenging time.
Our efforts positively impacted the lives of many individuals.
Caregiver Support
We are dedicated to providing valuable resources and information to caregivers, empowering them to create better lives for themselves and their loved ones.
Our comprehensive intake session guides caregivers through the various funding and support systems available to them and their children.
While our ultimate goal is to establish a structured Caregiver Support Program, for now, we continue to offer our expertise and counselling to caregivers of program participants.
Advocacy
At Ability First Ottawa, we believe that advocacy is key to empowering our clients and their families.
By raising awareness of the services available to them, we help them become more independent and self-sufficient.
Our focus on advocacy ensures that our clients receive the support they need to thrive and achieve their goals.
